The Place
Many of our clients choose to work with us here at Cwmcroiddur.
Peace, quiet and an awe-inspiring landscape are the perfect context for participants interested in exploring new ideas and ways of working.
The estate overlooks one of the most gentle and beautiful valleys in the whole of Wales, and behind is one of the UK's last great areas of untamed wilderness. On a clear night, you can see more stars here than almost anywhere in the UK.
Working in small groups is often intense and we plan regular outdoor breaks and schedule activities to take advantage of the beautiful gardens and surrounding woodland. The estate comprises a mature garden, a pond, a vegetable garden, several outdoor seating areas, a paddock and 17 acres of mature pine forest with signposted walks.
The Accommodation
Accommodation in Croiddur Barn, Barcud Cottage and Cwmcroiddur Farmhouse, allows us to work with groups of six to eight people in a friendly and informal atmosphere.
Each building is unique; the farmhouse kitchen has an ancient fireplace, and a floor of massive flagstones, while Croiddur Barn has a magnificent feeling of height, with a balcony overlooking the dining and sitting areas. Barcud Cottage, the oldest building at Cwmcroiddur, has a cosy, intimate feel.
In addition to working in the large open areas of the Barn and the spacious Farmhouse sitting room, we make use of a small studio space for some of the documentary elements of the programmes.
Food
Good food is creative fuel and so we make sure that groups working at Cwmcroiddur dine well. We eat together in the spacious dining area of the barn or in the dining room of the farmhouse. On longer courses, we usually visit the Neaudd Fawr, Cilycwm's legendary pub, a source of fine food and a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
