The Awareness Razor!

A one hour presentation and demonstration aimed at raising awareness of the critical importance of good communication skills for individuals in companies and organisations.

In just one hour, we will show you and your team why we rate good communication skills so highly, and why we believe that much of the funding and effort that goes into conventional communication training is wasted.

With explanations of many of the techniques we use in our small-group workshops and demonstrations to illustrate our unusual, person centred approach, the Awareness Razor tells the full story of how it is possible for private sector companies and public sector organisations to raise their game and enable their workforce to achieve their full potential.

Half Day Workshop

An intensive but entertaining three hour course for groups of up to twenty people. This is a halfway house between a presentation with demonstrations and a full workshop session. With full audiovisual support and participation by several volunteers from amongst the participants, this short course sets up all the ideas and understandings by which we work.

The session will show how we gain an insight into the personal communication style of our volunteers, how they give themselves feedback and receive feedback from the group, so they can find out what in the way they communicate works well for them, and what we could help them to improve upon.

We will then see how the unique methods used by The Creative Work Place are employed as participants set up and rehearse scenarios they have suggested, using high quality video recording and instant playback techniques.

This is a full-on condensed version of what we do in terms of communication training, with plenty of opportunity for involvement by the participants. Anyone who would like to take things further and join one of our full length courses will be able to hit the ground running on that course, having attended this half day workshop.

Effective Communication Skills

Develop the skills to communicate effectively at work. A two-day residential course for teams and leaders of teams. Increase your personal impact and that of your team members with clearer communication, more confident setting of goals, creative problem solving and improved communication skills.

On this course we cover:

We work with small groups in a confidential and creative atmosphere at our centre in mid Wales or at a centre near your workplace. Participants are encouraged to try out new ideas and enjoy making positive changes to the way that they communicate.

This course is held in small groups to allow time for rehearsal and review of new ways of working.

Enhanced Communication Skills

An intensive residential programme focusing on the skills to extend your range as an effective communicator.

The key to this course is its flexibility and its participant focus. Working with a few people in a relaxed and informal setting we are able to shape this course to the needs of each participant. Whether you struggle to do yourself justice in interviews, get anxious about making presentations, fail to hold your own in meetings, flounder giving feedback or just feel you could get your message across better, this course is the one for you.

Working with cameras, coaching, feedback and the input of an actor, this course delivers real change and confidence.

This two day course is normally held at our residential centre near the Brecon Beacons National Park. However, we are able to run it at a suitable venue convenient to your work place.
